The Nissan cube was named one of the nineteen vehicles for being the safest while having a price tag under $20,000.  The Nissan cube is such a distinct vehicle for style but with its great safety as well, should continue to attract new owners.  Congrats to the Nissan cube!

Nissan Offering 20th Anniversary Package for 2012 Nissan Altima

2012 Nissan Altima BlueBack in 1992 when the Nissan Altima was introduced into the auto market, it carried two names,  Altima and Stanza.  The Altima would make an immediate impact and started to rival the Accord and Camry that had dominated the mid-size category.  The Altima was the only name they needed to keep and Nissan has enjoyed the Altima ever since.

Since its first introduction, Nissan has sold over 3.6 million Altimas in the 20-year span.  In honor of the Altima being the top-selling vehicle for Nissan’s North American lineup, Nissan has unveiled the new 2012 Altima 20th Anniversary Package.

The snazzy Altima comes with 16” aluminum-alloy wheels, fog lights, rear spoiler, and auto on/off headlights to spruce up the exterior.  On the interior, the special-edition Altima gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth® hands-free calling system, HomeLink® Universal transceiver for garage door and home control, and other great features.

“We want to acknowledge Altima’s first two decades and how much it has meant to the company – and reward loyal Altima customers with this special 20th Anniversary equipment package,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc. “From its uncertain beginnings, Altima has grown to be a real power nameplate for Nissan in the competitive mid-size segment – a position we intend to hold for many more anniversaries to come.”

Patrons can get the 20th anniversary Altima for $950 MSRP, compared to $1,850 if you wanted to add all those features on to a regular Altima!  The special-edition Altima will be available to customers starting on November 18th.

Nissan Unveils New Features of Taxi of Tomorrow at New York City Expo

The first public preview of the Nissan NV200 Taxi of Tomorrow is underway in New York City at Nissan’s Taxi of Tomorrow Expo.  The event opened yesterday and runs through Saturday, November 5.  The event showcases all the nifty interior aspects for the future of taxi cab riding that were previously unknown.

The new taxi of the future brings an impressive cargo area that allows luggage for up to four passengers to be carried in the taxi cab.  The spacious cargo area will allow for flexibility to share rides as well as transportation between airport and business/home to be more convenient than conventional taxi cabs.

Cleanliness of the taxi cab has always been an issue and Nissan designed features to fight that problem.  Interior materials were chosen to help accentuate cabin freshness as well as having breathable, anti-microbial seat upholstery that fights bacteria and is easy to clean for passenger comfort.

The ultimate addition for rider luxury was Nissan’s addition of individual heating/air conditioning control for rear passengers. The aesthetics of the NV200 are addicting with a transparent roof panel that allows riders to get a complete picturesque view of New York City and all of its offerings.  Having a showcasing roof on the Nissan NV200 allows riders to make their ride more enjoyable then feeling like they are stuck in the back of a police car.  Riders will also love the flooring being flat with no obnoxious hump and the sliding doors with entry step and handles to allow for easy in and out of the cab.

Nissan also wanted to cater to riders by offering USB charging access for passengers to charge their smartphones, mp3 players and other USB accessories for convenience.

Make sure to see these features and many more at the Taxi of Tomorrow Expo.  Check out the event details and make a visit before its gone!
